Someone's Using Their Noodle

I had brought this up before, but the iPad is an ideal format for adventure games, and it sounds like Telltale Games got the memo and announced the new Sam & Max adventure on iPad!

The video is interesting because it describes the multi-touch control scheme for the game, which looks a little iffy to me, especially with that unmistakable DualShock analog joystick on the screen (port alert!).  It would have been more interesting, though a little cumbersome, if they used the accelerometers on the iPad to pan the camera, but that's a minor criticism against a greater good, which is the impending adventure game resurgence.

Once Good Old Games gets their iAct together, and expose the public to the sheer awesomness of 90's PC adventures, perhaps games will finally achieve the kind of mainstream legitimacy that they have pursued for so long.
