Does Microsoft Read This Blog?

Two years ago, then VP of Microsoft Game Studios, Shane Kim, made a visit to UC Berkeley's Play conference where I (frankly) asked him whether the shape of the Xbox 360 may be the only thing holding it back from being a "phenomenon" like the Wii and the iPod.  Of course, I could have phrased the question better, but the idea was posed.  Perhaps this started the ball rolling.

Last year, the internet was abuzz with the rumor of a new 360.  After doing a little research, I came to the conclusion that the reporting site was commenting about then Project Natal, which turned out to be true.  At the end of the piece, I left the idea of a redesigned 360 that openly addressed the Red-Ring-of-Death to the mainstream consumer.

Now, not only do we have a redesigned 360, but a redesigned 360 that's incapable of red-ringing, if Joystiq's report is true.  How's that for a solution; Simply remove the red LEDs!  Pure genius.

Hey, Microsoft!  If you're reading this, make an MMO with Kinect, like Jenova Chen talked about!

(Yes, I'm trying to boost my ego here, thank you very much.)
