After reading about some gamers in Hawaii fighting off a robbery, and after just watching Pulp Fiction for the hundredth time on DVD, I was inspired to throw together a little "phototorial" about it, and post it in the comments. Some pats on the back ensued from the community, and I was a happy for a job well done. Then I went over to Fark.I guess another blog liked what I did, so they posted it in their blog, which then got posted to Fark. That's cool, in a street art cred kind of way, I guess. Since I go by a pseudonym, I don't expect any knocks on my virtual door for any discussions of my work, but then a part of me wondered, "did anyone else use my image?"
While my image is by no means setting the internets on fire, I found a blog post where they not only cropped my image, they reported it as real news! "You can't make this stuff up, folks," the blogger reports. Yes, you can make this stuff up, and that's what it is; it's made up!
The part of me then wondered, "should I say something?"
"No. Let's watch what happens," replied the other part of me.
I wonder if anyone will track down our young gamer hero and ask to see this badass DS they've seen on the internet. To me, that would be pretty awesome...and a little scary...but awesome nonetheless.
Hey, Norm MacDonald, stop making up the news!
ReplyDeleteOkay. I'll just stare at you until you laugh uncomfortably...
